SUMMARY:SB Social Night - Unhook Your Anchors
DESCRIPTION:Each month\, our members and partners come together to share and discuss valuable insights surrounding Women Leadership Development . It is an opportunity to network and inspire one another so you can thrive with the support of the SHE BRILLIANCE community. \n“Unhook Your Anchors” by Eric Trijbels opens with a reframe success and failure in life\, before walking through a leadership arc that moves from the Individual to the collective. It builds from Self Leadership (personal and professional)\, based on Eric Trijbels lived experience with healing from trauma\, and Team Leadership (diversity and leadership)\, to Business Leadership\, connecting the unlocked individual mindset to meaningful organizational impact. \nThe lean\, solution-driven talk is structured around a practical and broadly applicable framework for rewiring neutral patterns through Awareness\, Understanding and Acceptance and leaves the audience with a clear pathways to identifying and unhooking their own anchors. \nKey Take Aways:\n· We all have anchors from the past\, that impact how we respond in todays world\n· This impact is not always helpful\n· We can rewire our emotional and behavioural patterns through Awareness\, Understanding and Acceptance.\n· This process is not linear and will require consistent effort.\n· An understanding of how people are impacted by their anchors will help you grow stronger leaders and a more adaptable business \nSpeaker’s Profile \nEric is a Dutch native that has been living in Singapore for more than 15 years. Early childhood trauma left him with complex PTSD and Dissociative Identity Disorder and unable to function in many aspects of daily human life. It impacted his personal relationships\, his career and his happiness. During years of therapy\, Eric learnt how his past experiences were holding him back from achieving his dreams and started a long journey of healing. \nAlong this path Eric discovered the benefits of giving back; he started counselling inmates in prison\, and coaching underprivileged women. It changed his perspective on many aspects of life\, and having experienced first hand the transformative impact of his counselling and coaching\, he now wants to help wider audiences free themselves from the anchors of their past.   \nHis stories are powerful tools to illustrate and address how the past impacts our present. Often inmates and clients would ask him to write his stories down for their benefit. \nEric listened and wrote the autobiography “Not So Tough. Rise from the mess” to amplify  his message. He is also a sought after public speaker who can connect with audiences at a personal level. \nIn addition to his speaking\, counselling & coaching work\, Eric is a 20 year veteran risk manager in international banking\, insurance and private equity. This allows him to guide his clients to their ideal a balance between risk & reward and transform their personal or business situation. \nTo support his coaching & counselling work\, Eric has obtained a graduate degree is social psychology & counselling and a ICF accredited degree in coaching. \nEric has worked in Europe\, United States\, Australia and currently Singapore and in his free time Eric is an avid trail runner\, boxer\, art lover and he spends a lot of time with his German Shepherd dog and his 13 year old son.
