The statement above sums up my engagements with all clients whom I am privileged to work with; the discovery of the 2 critical ingredients highlighted. I founded CY Haberdashery in 2020 to focus on two critical elements in the area of leadership development practices; content curation (instead of creation) and impact measurement.
What is more rewarding than seeing people learn, develop, and grow, knowing I had a part in enabling their success? For more than 15 years, I have helped organizations translate their strategy into leadership behaviors, capabilities, and mindsets that allow their leaders to change and accelerate business impact.
Having lead the Leadership practice at BTS in Asia for some time, I continue to partner with them as an associate as I do believe in the transformation journey that BTS is on. We partner with clients to design and deliver powerful learning experiences for leaders across all levels in an organization. Context and experiential learning makes the difference in whether change will happen or not. This is naturally described by Neuroscience’s findings of how emotional circuits in our brains are best activated when we experience different moments. And, when learning is conducted over time, through learning journeys, a new habit is formed and change takes place.
Concurrently since 2020, inspired by friends around me who are all doing their bit in response to COVID-19, I responded to the invitation to be a volunteer as one of the founding members of i-Connect Health & Wellness sector, driven by CREST. It provides me an avenue to utilize my knowledge and experience to help innovative start-ups in the health and wellness sector commercialize their solutions, while advocating for collaboration between the government, the industry, the academics and the civil society.
Having lived in different countries including Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and Switzerland, throughout my career, the exposures have enabled me to better understand and connect leadership development practices in the various cultural context.
