In this interview, We speak to Yasmine Khater, Lead Researcher & CEO, Sales Story Method, to uncover false perceptions of personal branding and how to determine what you want to be known for.

If you’ve ever felt like personal branding is reserved for the extroverts or the assertive, you are not alone. People reinvent themselves all the time – to take on a new challenge, shift into more meaningful work, or rebut perceptions that have hindered their career progress.

Taking control of your personal brand may mean the difference between an unfulfilling job and a rewarding career. Whether you are looking to get a spot at the C-suite table or simply looking to find confidence in your achievements, creating your narrative to influence public perception of yourself requires effort and perhaps even a little psychoanalysis.

Executive coach and storytelling trainer with a background in child psychology, Yasmine Khater gave us a glimpse into navigating the world of personal branding and tells us what attendees can expect at her workshop at the upcoming SHE BRILLIANCE event on 29 October 2021.

“Whatever sector you choose to work in, personal branding makes a difference in communicating confidently. Personal branding is one of the tools in your toolkit to make you a more effective leader and entrepreneur because once you know what is the message that you want to share with the world, you need to make sure that the brand you have helps people remember you. The reality is, people will only remember about 20 per cent of what they hear. If you want them to remember that 20 per cent, you want to be able to dictate what that is,” says Yasmine.
